HELLO SETH CAMPBELL. LET’S IMAGINE I AM SIX YEARS OLD. COULD YOU EXPLAIN ME WHAT ‘BIOHACKING’ IS AND WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT THESE DAYS?
“Biohacking” for me simply means allowing your body to perform and feel the way it was designed to. We have so many interferences or deficiencies in our lifestyles that most people live in a state of low energy, mental fog, digestive issues and general problems. When we can either remove the interferences or overcome the deficiencies by adding good things in we can begin to feel and perform and live the way we are supposed to. We can essentially hack our body and optimize it to be what it is supposed to be.
PLEASE TELL OUR READERS SOMETHING MORE ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT?
Our products are nutrigenomics, which essentially mean that they activate genes in our body. For example, our flagship product activates something called the NRF2 pathway which allows your body to slow down the damage done on the cellular level as a result of aging.
LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR PAST. HOW MUCH TIME DID YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN NETWORK MARKETING? WHAT STRATEGIES DID YOU USE?
It took me 19 months to break through the 6 figure income level and about 3 years to hit the upper ranks of my company. Over the years I have learned new strategies and sharpened my skills. This is important, but to this day I believe my most valuable tool was the excitement and energy I brought that first 3 years. Energy and fire will always trump skills unless those skills are still fueled by energy and fire. I would rather have a very excited and energized new distributor than a veteran without energy.
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE MOST COURAGEOUS THING YOU HAVE DONE IN YOUR LIFE?
When I started I was a college student. I got to a point where I was making ok money, maybe a couple grand a month. I called one of my mentors and asked him if he thought I could hit the top rank in our company and also complete my education (I was in school to become a doctor). His response was “the fox that chases two rabbits catches none”. I walked into the school office that same day and withdrew from school, “dropped out” essentially and went full time in my business that day. That decision has paid dividends beyond what I could have imagined.
HOW HAS BEING INVOLVED IN NETWORK MARKETING CHANGED YOUR LIFE, PROFESSIONALLY, PERSONALLY OR BOTH?
This profession has changed my life by showing me what I can really do and forcing me to live in a state of risk taking without fear. Success only comes where risk is taken and too many people live in fear and never really take chances. Being involved in this great profession has enabled me to take some significant leaps and realize that there is a win on the other side and that I am capable of finding it.
WHAT ARE THE FAILURES THAT YOU MOST CHERISH?
The times when I drove a long distance to do a meeting only to find that nobody is showing up. Or that the person I was making the trip for changed their mind and no longer wanted me to come. These experiences have been invaluable because they were followed by hours of driving alone in a vehicle drowning in the negative emotions of failure, rejection, frustration and disappointment. These moments helped teach me how to control those emotions and compartmentalize which has become one of my most cherished skills.
FOR ME AS A EUROPEAN, IS IT VERY INTERESTING TO INTERVIEW A NETWORK MARKETER FROM THE UNITED STATES. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE AMERICAN MARKET TO EUROPEAN NETWORK MARKETERS?
I would describe the American market as being filled with people who are probably a lot like the people in Europe or any other country. Great people who have dreams, but 9 out of 10 have too much fear or doubt to go for it. In the end you still must be ok with a small average rate of success and are only looking for that person who is willing to take the leap and go for it. It is difficult but simple, and massive success is possible for anyone.
WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF NETWORK MARKETING IN AMERICA?
I believe the future of network marketing in America is to continue on the trend we have seen over the last decade, which is to continue to increase in acceptance as a legitimate profession. Anecdotally, I have seen people’s response to what I do change over the years from skepticism to “very cool, what company?” I believe that the rising generations are less prone to view the world in boxes and are also more anxious to have their own freedom when it comes to their time and income. Network marketing will become one of the more respected professions I believe.
YOU HELP PEOPLE TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES, LIGHT UP, WANT AND ACHIEVE MORE IN LIFE. SO IN A FEW WELL-CHOSEN SENTENCES SETH CAMPBELL: HOW DO YOU DO IT?
To start, you need to find someone with the inner desire for more, without that inner desire there are no words I can say to produce chance. When I find someone like that, I like to focus on the psychology of why they haven’t had the results they wanted and how to reprogram that. I believe that we are all programmed by society for mediocrity (most people think like most people) and if we can simply change some of our beliefs then our targets, motivation and eventually results will change as well.
DO YOU LIKE BEING ON STAGE?
I am an introvert by nature, but consider myself a “situational extrovert”. Perhaps the area where I am most able to be effective and bring energy is on stage. It is something that I have really enjoyed over the years simply for the opportunity to create an impact on a slightly larger scale.
SETH CAMPBELL, HOW DO YOU BUILD YOUR BUSINESS ON FACEBOOK AND SOCIAL MEDIA?
Facebook was quite a learning curve for me. As far as my page, I simply put out videos without a lot of overthinking and tried to be authentic and talk about what I believed in and what I had learned over the years with my focus being on reprogramming and training ourselves to be business builders rather than employees. I found that when you give a voice to what people think and feel and don’t ask for anything in return, people tend to appreciate that and will continue to tune in.
AND THE LAST QUESTION SETH. DO YOU HAVE A LIFE MOTTO?
My life motto is not something that is uniquely mine but one that I heard from a mentoryears ago. “Observe the masses and do the opposite”. When I find myself going against the majority, then I am more likely on the correct path for what I want to accomplish.
