He recruited, sponsored, trained, coached, inspired people from 4 continents in 42 countries around the world. 5,000 people attended his largest speech in Bangkok. 1. HOW HAS IT HAPPENED THAT A MAN WHO WAS WORKING OFFLINE BECOME AN ONLINE MARKETER?
Tomasz Pawlak: I remember it clearly, as if it was yesterday… March 2020. I realized that the pandemic headline is not a short term thing. I knew that the pandemic would stay with us for a long time. For the last dozen or so years I have been intensively building an offline business.Therefore, I had a choice: either to give up this path, or to actually change the way I work and switch to an online business system. It turned out that this activity was the only right choice, which scared me a lot at the beginning. Working online seemed new at the time. Honestly, working online wasn’t really serious to me before. Facebook has seemed to me as a fun place where people share their excess of their personal experiences. Instagram, on the other hand, in my eyes was more of a toy for my daughter. However, it quickly turned out that as a Networker, a professional, I had to face reality and change my work style. At the end of the day, I am really grateful. Thanks to the pandemic I had the opportunity to develop an online business.
2. WHAT DIFFERENCE DID YOU SPOT BETWEEN ONLINE AND OFFLINE WORK?
Tomasz Pawlak: It turns out that by working online in a relatively shorter time I am able to do much more. When I used to move to another city, or even to another continent, I was traveling. It takes a lot of time and money. The big advantage of working online is having the flexibility of time. What is more, I can easily save some finances. Moreover, thanks to the pandemic, for the first time, I have learned that there is such a thing as planning posts, planning lives, etc. It all can be planned, just like any other activity. At this point I realized that life became easier. In fact, it quickly turned out that I can organize many more meetings, thanks to the online technology, e.g. on the Zoom platform. However, I must admit that I miss face-to-face meetings, where we can look at each other’s eyes, see the gestures of other people or pat a shoulder and give a high five.
3. WHAT SHOULD A BEGINNING MARKETER START FROM?
Tomasz Pawlak: Nowadays, a beginning marketer should first of all, start with a decision. If we do not have one, then, as Napoleon Hill wrote in his book “Think and Grow Rich”, we have no desire to achieve success. This is the first challenge, the first obstacle for the beginning marketer on the career path. It is the obstacle which often stops a young marketer in business development. Basically, it is a matter of choosing the right platform on which the aspiring marketer would like to develop. Whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or TikTok, I think it’s always worth choosing one leading platform. The other social media platforms will be complementary. Each marketer should be active on at least 2 platforms. When you are working online, it is possible to block one of the social media profiles temporarily for various reasons. Therefore, then you can work on the other one. I would surely quickly take care of my personal brand and start to post regularly, because when we give people valuable knowledge, our position in the market changes.
4. DOES BEING A MARKETER, MEANS BEING AN MLM MANAGER?
Tomasz Pawlak: That’s a good question! Of course, for me, a marketer is a much wider concept. It does not include only those who work in the area of e-commerce, those who conduct direct sales. Nowadays it is a much wider thing to do. Currently, as a marketer, we are building a Network. Of course, other skills are also important. You have to be a good manager. We should sponsor people, not recruit. In my opinion, this is how it should be like when it comes to network marketing. We should live according to the principle: recruit 5 people and teach them how to take care of a personal brand, how to work in Blitz technology. This method allows you to build a lot of relationships, meaning turning strangers into friends. And then, strangers will turn into business partners and clients. It is important that the Network marketer can simply teach some basics of online work to new business partners.
5. WHAT TOOLS FOR AN ONLINE WORK DO YOU KNOW?
Tomasz Pawlak: There are many various tools for online work. It is worth it to get a good computer. Personally, I work on a MacBook. It is a good, decent computer. There are a couple more things such as a microphone, a good camera, which will also be useful so that you can work online easily. You should also get apertures for microphones. Platforms such as Stream Yard are very useful, because they are allowing you to do a live on several Social Media accounts at the same time. Of course, there are various types of applications today which help you to process photos and add texts to them as well. In my opinion, these are the basic tools of a new network marketer.
6. HOW DO YOU GET CUSTOMERS VIA THE INTERNET?
Tomasz Pawlak: Nowadays, the method that I usually use online is the Blitz technology, which I have mentioned earlier. It is called lead generator, a daily activity that lasts about half an hour. During this time, we comment on someone’s posts for 10 minutes as part of building relations. This is a good procedure because people love good comments about themselves and thanks to such a comment – we build a relationship. For the next 10 minutes, we use the FAM – Find And Message procedure, i.e. find people and send a message. I use FAM on 3 platforms, i.e. Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.Then, I usually build a relationship with these people, based on the LORD technology – Location, Occupation, Recreation and Desire. After building such a relationship, I ask questions relevant to the project in which I work.
