We present you the second installment of our new series “The future of MLM“. It will be a series of interviews of young and remarkable network marketing leaders from around the world. We are sure that in the stories of our young global leaders, you will find a lot of interesting and engaging content. Ladies and gentlemen, today we would like to present you Boris Lupsina and Marina Mursic.
Boris Lupsina and Marsina Mursic have been involved with network marketing for ten and four years. They work together but they are more than just a couple in businees. Boris and Marina complement each other. They are undeniable young MLM / network marketing leaders. In the past 4 years their team has spread into over thirty countries on four continents.
WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOU STARTED YOUR MLM BUSINESS?
Boris: I come from a very poor family but we always had food on the table. That is why I needed to find myself a job at a gas station right after high school, so I learnt how to take care of myself when I was only 16 years old. I have always loved freedom so I soon realised that a 9-5 job was not what I really wanted to do in my life. I value having the freedom to work in my own style and in what I consider to be the best way. And I have always loved to work with people.
Marina: After I graduated I moved to Switzerland, where I helped to run one of the hotels. After many ups and downs in my life I got to the point where I realized that the 9 to 5 life didn’t offer me much satisfaction, there was something missing in my life: freedom. Time for my hobbies. I remember how unfulfilled I felt. That is how I discovered the world of unlimited possibilities that Network Marketing offers.
HOW DID YOU START YOUR BUSINESS ADVENTURE?
Boris: I have always been a high energy person. So people were always telling me that I should use this gift to my advantage. They encouraged me to start working for myself. So back in 2010 I was invited to attend first business seminar and only after 6 months I went full time with my first network marketing business. Since then I have been a full time network marketer and I love it!
Marina: When my friend invited me to meet with him so he could tell me about the business I didn’t quite understand the idea of network marketing. But after attending the first seminar a few weeks later, everything has changed for me. That night I couldn’t sleep. I remember how I said to one of the company’s managers: Hey, I am so excited, everything makes sense now! I am going to do it, I’ll get to the top, I am ready to do whatever I need to do!
WHAT ARE YOUR RECRUITMENT TECHNIQUES? PERSONALLY, ONLINE OR FROM THE SCENE?
All I do is that I work what I truly love and feel passionate about. I am very good at communication and with the tools that our company offers I can effectively reach out to many people. But offline I find it natural to attract the right people into the business with high-energy and all my business experience.
One of the most powerful tools we both just love is hosting seminars. This is where we both feel at home and where most people get a feeling that they can trust us and that we can help them to achieve their goals.
WHY SHOULD ANYONE WORK WITH YOU?
Anyone who is looking for a personal mentor that they can trust, a mentor who can give you feedback and advice on how to do it, a mentor that is going to help you turn your fears into excitement, a mentor that always makes sure that you feel valued and appreciated. That is what we give to our mentee’s. We help people bring out the best in themselves.
WHAT COMPETENCIES DO YOU THINK ARE IMPORTANT IN THIS INDUSTRY? WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE DO YOU VALUE AND WHAT YOU DO NOT?
We value many traits, especially honesty, commitment, modesty, diligence, compassion, loyalty, humour. But also courage: people who are ready to stand up for what they believe in. We absolutely love it when people are who they are and nothing but that- being authentic in MLM should be a standard for everyone. We have never forgotten who we are along the way.
One of the lessons we both have learnt is that you can improve your life just by changing the people you surround yourself with. So always surround yourself with people that you look up to and that you can learn from.

WHAT WOULD YOU CALL ‘MY BIGGEST SUCCESS’?
Oooooh that would be starting a business together, which has led to a deeper, stronger connection between us.
We have met so many people who wanted to do the business but then they had a hard time making a decision because their spouse didn’t support their decision.
We work together and we see so many benefits of working as a couple. Above all, we are much more than two people, we complement each other. For instance, Boris is a strategist, a man of numbers. He is extroverted and loves to do things fast. While I am good at building close relationships, I am also introverted. And am the one who is holding Boris back… sometimes it’s necessary. We balance each other very well which works perfectly for our entire team.
WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE SLOVENIAN MARKET? (AND ANY OTHER MARKET WHERE YOU OPERATE)
In the past 4 years our team has spread into 30+ countries and 4 continents. In the early days of our careers, we started building a team in Africa with one of our good friends who turned into our business partner. So we mostly build in Nigeria, which is one of our biggest markets. A country with 200+ million people… We also build a lot in the UK, USA and Balkan countries. Slovenia is our home country. We have a smaller team here but like said before, our main focus is still on other markets.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE SLOVENIAN MARKET? WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS AND THE PECULARITIES OF IT?
Slovenia is a very specific market like any other market. Our people are very shy and introverted. That is a common experience for many people when it comes to our nation. The standard of living is pretty good so people live comfortably which can also be one of the reasons why people do not look for any side job or income. Network marketing is pretty new and not understood well yet but we believe that with the right approach and a lot of persistency this is going to change as well. At the end of the day, energy flows where attention goes.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR THE SLOVENIAN MARKET TO DEVELOP MORE? WHAT DON’T YOU LIKE ABOUT IT?
Slovenia is a small country with only 2 million people. So news spreads very fast on such a small territory. Some companies that came here in the past did not use the right approach and strategies so people are still doubtful. Though, with each success in this industry people are starting to believe again. Step by step.
WHAT PEOPLE DO YOU THINK ARE THE MOST INSPIRING IN YOUR LIFE?
There are a lot of people that inspire us. Those are our own mentors and people who went from zero to hero, people who never stopped believing despite all odds. We are inspired by people who are committed and hardworking, with huge care for people.
DO YOU HAVE A LIFE MOTTO?
Our life motto is CVMD: creating value and making a difference. We believe that value creation is the foundation of any business.
HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR FUTURE?
Our vision for the future has always been to do something that would allow us to travel and spend time with the family. I truly believe that we all have a special purpose and strengths. When you give a purpose to everything you are doing, success is inevitable.
