Network marketing became a hot conversation, for the average individual, ever since COVID-19 took over the world. The reason maybe the fact that the world has stopped still and reevaluated how we make a living.
In the United States alone COVID-19 has caused more than 40,000,000 jobs, and millions more have been forced to work from home. Twitter sent all of their employees home and told them “you never have to come back and will not lose your job”.
Network marketing has always been an alternative way of making a living, especially if you were in a desperate side of life like myself back in 2009 or, in many cases, if you are very entrepreneurial and understand how to build businesses.
In 2020, many people in the network marketing profession started targeting everyone in the world and claiming “you should have joined me back in the day , but now you are to “! Things like this have put society in a whole new defensive mechanism against network marketers , and I believe that network marketing is an amazing way to generate revenue and achieve your dreams. however, if not done the right way it becomes a sleazy approach that makes us all look like lousy salespeople.
The good news is during COVID-19 you and I have been given an opportunity to have more time to prospect, to create more opportunities, to achieve breakthroughs in every single area of our business and personal development. We eliminated our commute. We eliminated having a boss over our shoulders and we control the outcome of living from home. We even can work out, read and listen to audiobooks. The question to ask is: why are some people still not creating success for themselves?
In every network marketing company, most people claim that the company is unique or one of a kind. In many cases people are so sold out to the company as if it was a religion, and that’s not a bad thing . What I am saying is , if we all claim that our companies are unique would not make us all sound the same. So what is the difference between those who make a lot of money in network marketing and others who do not?
I believe it all comes down to branding, the idea of owning your own identity and having clear core values that only you have and only you own. So what is your niche? Who do you cater to? And what is it that you offer to your community an audience that no one else does?
Identifying the above answers, will allow you to have your own voice and the capability to attract the masses. During COVID-19 more people are hurt financially, emotionally and even physically. Having an answer that is value and solution driven to their very immediate needs will give you the edge to stand out amongst the masses who are simply selling something online.
I’d like to advise my fellow network marketers to not be just another sales Rep, but a true innovative entrepreneur. A person that inspires and motivates change! It may be a hard revelation for you to accept , but we live in a digital age that allows everyone to figure out what is it that you do, or do not for that matter, in a few clicks or right from their cell phones. So, exaggerating could be a very dangerous game to play in today’s business space.
The best thing that I can tell you is to operate with the same systems our parents have taught us, or hopefully have. Integrity, being straightforward and doing the right thing on and off camera. Being brutally honest and yourself would make your audience connect with you while growing brand loyalty.
People in general are hurting more than ever! Whether financially, or personally! We are in what looks like scary times from the outside looking in, the news creates daily distraction and blind our positive eyes. You have an opportunity to be a beacon of hope and a light of guidance to their solutions and betterment. Don’t sell, inspire! Don’t recruit, sponsor! Don’t close, help people make the right decision for themselves.

My hope is for this article to spark a thought process, an idea of becoming a true entrepreneur vs just another struggling sales rep! You deserve better, but you won’t be able to attract the person you want in your business until you become that person. You must develop you as a leader, a source of solutions and the go to person for value.
Study leaders invest in yourself and stop playing small. YouTube is great, but it’s crumbs which fall off the chef’s table! Why not hire the chef, and learn from the best, get the recipes and buy speed! The difference between those who make it big and those who do not is simply investing big in oneself! The truth is: why would you expect me to invest in you, if you don’t respect yourself enough to invest in you.
