Born 1989 in Tuchów in Lesser Poland. A graduate of the Cracow University of Economics, the Faculty European Studies and Economics. In the MLM industry since 2012. He has worked for several dynamically developing companies in managerial positions. He managed sales and operations in the EMEA region. Privately a player of the 2easy Warsaw speedball team. What captivated him the most, intrigued him in multi-level marketing? We invite you to an interview with Mr. Jakub Duda, Kannaway.
MR. JAKUB DUDA, ONE OF THE QUALITIES THAT YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF IS “THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX”. YOU SAY, “I DON’T FOLLOW THE CROWD.” WHAT DOES IT ACTUALLY MEAN AND HOW DO YOU USE THAT MENTAL ATTITUDE IN BUSINESS?
SO WOULD YOU AGREE WITH THIS SAYING “WORK SMART, NOT HARD”?
All four elements that you mentioned are key to running your MLM business effectively. It is best to depict them through a closed circle, where the return leads through them in the following order: Money -> People -> Strategy -> Execution. It is impossible to successfully manage an enterprise without effectively enforcing a properly planned strategy. People are behind the strategy. Good people in the right positions, doing their job well, is the key! Unfortunately, they cannot be employed without a solid capital base. For me, people will always come first. However, money is crucial in this case. Without them, it’s very difficult to get the best people involved for longer.
LET’S GET BACK TO THE PAST NOW. HOW DID YOU START YOUR BUSINESS ADVENTURE?
Already as a teenager I dealt with casual trade. At that time, a lot of people were buying used cell phones. I took the opportunity and started to trade them. I would bought them at a bargain price and sold them with a margin. That’s how I learned the basics of entrepreneurship and economics. However, the real adventure began at the end of my studies when I started working at MonaVie – at the time a dynamically developing company from the network marketing industry. I was fascinated by the wide spectrum of activities in which I became involved over time. I learned the industry and work in an international environment and enjoyed seeing instant, tangible results of my work. It was amazing!

WHAT CAPTIVATED, INTRIGUED, FASCINATED YOU THE MOST IN NETWORK MARKETING?
I love multi-level marketing and how many opportunities it offers. It doesn’t matter if you are a partner, distributor or corporate employee. If you are ambitious, flexible and can work hard, you can climb high and achieve a lot. What is important in this business – you can develop at many levels and make really good money.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THOSE WHO ARE JUST BEGINNING THEIR ADVENTURE IN NETWORK MARKETING?
Look for solutions. Try. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Think outside the box and listen to the opinions of other, more experienced than yourself people. Keep learning, draw conclusions and pursue your goals, even if there are obstacles. Have fun with your work. Enjoy every day, and in times of doubt remember and be grateful for the opportunity you have received and the potential it carries that is at your disposal.
EXPANDING THE PREVIOUS QUESTION, WHAT FACTORS DETERMINE LONG-TERM BUSINESS SUCCESS?
I think there are many factors. The ones that come to my mind first are:
- consistency in striving to achieve goals,
- daily discipline.
- regularity,
- from the enterprise’s point of view – people.
YOUR CURRENT COMPANY IS KANNAWAY. PLEASE TELL US MORE ABOUT IT: THE VISION OF THE COMPANY, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE PRODUCT AND OF COURSE THE PEOPLE.
Kannaway is above all a team of passionate and committed young people who want to change the world for the better. We are part of several key associations in the hemp industry in the world that deal with making society aware of the values of this amazing plant and fight for free access to it. Kannaway is also phenomenal supplements and functional products rich in nutritional cannabinoids, which, as history shows, has changed the lives of many people. Of course, I can’t say more about this because of medical statements (laughs). WHAT DO YOU PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO WHEN HIRING NEW EMPLOYEES AT KANNAWAY?
Among the candidates for team members, I look for a personality. I am interested in who these people are. What are their values, what are their driving forces when making decisions and whether they can make those decisions at all. What they do in their free time, what motivates them and what would their ideal professional environment look like if the opportunities were unlimited, if they are ambitious and if they can learn effectively. The answers to these questions say a lot about people. I look for exceptional people, not just years of experience. It is also important to me that a person fits the whole team, so I also involve employees from other departments in the recruitment process. Even those who are not directly connected with the position for which the recruitment is in progress. All candidates must, of course, meet certain requirements for professional experience.
IT IS SAID THAT HEMP IS WIDELY USED IN INDUSTRY. PLEASE BRING THIS SUBJECT CLOSER TO OUR READERS.
That’s a fact! Even someone once counted it – several thousand different industrial hemp applications. Hemp has accompanied humanity since the dawn of time. It’s a truly remarkable plant. Today it’s used in the food industry, among other things – the seeds have plenty of protein and nutrient-rich oil. The industry uses flowers to produce extracts with health-promoting properties. Hemp fibre is used in the textile industry to produce strong, breathable materials with antibacterial properties. Paper, plastic and even wood can be replaced by hemp due to their high calorific value and excellent calorific properties. Hemp carbide and fibre are excellent insulators.
ANYTHING ELSE?
People use it to make slabs and bricks used in construction. Their use as biofuel is also intensively discussed. Interestingly, the body of the first Ford car was made of hemp, and the car itself was allegedly powered by seed oil. One hectare of hemp can produce as much paper as four hectares of forest. These plants are also a great way to cleanse the soil and air, absorbing huge amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere. Considering that they can grow to a height of up to 6 metres in 3 months, I dare say that this is a phenomenal plant. It is undoubtedly a great value for our planet! I could go on and on.
MR. JAKUB DUDA, HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR FREE TIME?
I’m very active. I think I’m addicted to adrenaline. I race motorbikes on racing tracks, I am a member of the 2easy Warsaw speedball team, I sail in the summer. Winter is the time when I slow down. I devote time to my family and spiritual development. When I talked about business, I emphasized the value of people to me. In private life it is no different. I really appreciate those who surround me.
YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE? THE NEAREST ONE AND THE VERY FAR ONE.
Some time ago I decided to learn Russian. I even started private classes. And letting the imagination run wild – one day I would like to create a kind of self-sufficient ecosystem similar to the “settlement” located on a virgin paradise island. A place that would create living conditions for the community of loved ones and friends. Based on celebrating life in itself, instead of the daily race in the current realities of the world around us.
