Great, amazing question 😊. Do we have 3 days to talk about this? Jokes apart, my hero is David Gilmour of Pink Floyd.
I ALSO NEED TO ASK: WHAT IS FAVORITE GUITAR SOLO? I WOULD SAY ONE OF THE SOLOS FROM MADE IN JAPAN BY DEEP PURLE BUT THIS IS ONLY MY OWN OPINION.
Great solo, of course, but my personal favorite one is the second solo in Comfortably Numb. The fantastic thing about some guitarists is when you reach the level that even if you play one tone, everyone can recognize you.
ANTONIO, APART FROM BEING A GUITAR FAN, YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY A WELL-RESCPETED DESIGNER. YOU COULD DO MANY THINGS AND FIND A JOB IN MANY PLACES. WHY NETWORK MARKETING THEN?
I guess the faith. I worked hard all around the world in traditional companies before to reach the Network Marketing industry. It was an opportunity to bring in this scenario the design culture. Another great option is to have direct contact with people, which shortens the creativity process and even production.
HOW DOES A DESIGNER HELP NETWORK MARKETING COMPANIES?
In several ways, I guess. First of all, with the method. Finally, building that culture where the MLM company can create something exclusive with a good looking presentation. Design is something that grows across all the areas of an MLM company nowadays.
THEY CALL YOU A TRUE VISIONARY. WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS? AND LET’S BOTH AGREE, THERE IS NO NEED TO BE MODEST HERE.
Oh, I don’t want to be modest 😊. Anyway, my history talks for myself. In the past, as a Concept Designer, I predict several products coming from Apple. As an example, it was 2010 when I created my Apple iWatch, anticipating the final Apple Watch released in 2015. In the MLM Industry, I opened the IT products market in this field and raised the bar of the relationship between technology and development since the ’00s.
AND WHO HAS BEEN YOUR ROLE MODELS? WHO ARE YOUR INFLUENCES IN DESING?
Of course, John Ive, if we talk about “modern hero”. Here we are talking about design applied to a brand, to a company. He brought the concept of Design Culture to all the aspects of his former company, from software to hardware. Of course, as a European, I’ve also a lot of inspiration, and for me, “Design” has a broad meaning. My experience started in advertising, and in my list, there’s space too for some iconic figures like Armando Testa. Still, I’m also a car lover, so why don’t include Bertone, Pininfarina, Giugiaro, etc. The list could be very long 😊.
OK, LET’S GET BACK IN TIME A LITTLE. HOW DID YOU GET INTRODUCED TO NETWORK MARKETING AND, HONESTLY, WHAT WAS THAT EXPERIENCE LIKE FOR YOU?
It was 1999, a small MLM local company. At that time, I wrote software, created presentations, logos, held webinars, live events, etc. Maybe this feeling put me in a different relationship with MLM. It’s a lifestyle, a mindset, you know. I love MLM, but I’m profoundly fighting with all the people that believe that this is a fake industry, a scams producer factory. My battle is to bring MLM to the people in the right way, trough the building of a Good Company and a Good Opportunity. This is my mantra.
ANTONIO, I THINK THAT YOU WILL AGREE WITH ME IF I SAY THAT SPORT IS BASED ON ONE THING: COMPETITION. FOLLOWING THAT LOGIC, WE CAN SAY THAT WORK IS BASED ON EFFECTIVENESS, FRIENDSHIP ON TRUST AND ADVERTISING ON HAPPINESS, FOR INSTANCE. HOW ABOUT NETWORK MARKETING? WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT NETWORK MARKETING IS BASED ON?
Money. At least if you are superficial. It seems that sales or comparison is the main ingredient od this field. Personally, as I told you before, I’d like to elevate new values. MLM is an opportunity for new entrepreneurs, a new start-up company, original idea, and product. Instead, some people build MLM companies because they believe it is easier to create a new business with huge incomes.
MLM is based on hard work. That is. If you work hard, if there’s a huge commitment, without infringing any fundamental rule of the business, this is a system that will bring you a huge opportunity to build something meaningful. But if you approach it with a fake intention, It will return you only…shit.
AND WHAT ABOUT DESING WHILE WE ARE ABOUT IT? WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT DESING IS BASED ON?
Design is based on a story to tell. On love and passion. On personality and character. It’s just like a guitarist: one tone and you know who is playing. Design is the language of love and effectiveness for the relationship between the men, the objects, and their daily use.

ANTONIO, YOU ARE ORINALLY FROM ITALY, NOW YOU LIVE IN THAILAND. I GUESS YOU TRAVELED A LOT TOO. SO IN YOUR OPINION, WHICH COUNTRY IS CRAZY ABOUT DESIGN THE MOST AND WHY?
It’s a tricky question because it depends on what “crazy” means for you. Sometimes I experienced countries where some stupid “Italian designed things” were sold and venerated as huge production pieces. In any case, Asia is becoming a plentiful land to express yourself about design because they are learning, and they are always hungry about culture, even if they have a millennial one.
LET’S TALK ABOUT THE PRESENT. IN WHAT EXCITING PROJECTS ARE YOU INVOLVED RIGHT NOW?
It’s called Ulyfe, and is a project incubated in Neworkom, a company where I’m co-founder and CMO. Ulyfe is a new generation Social network, based on the concept of Digital Sharing Economy. As you know, COVID-119 is literally changing our perception of our daily lives. We thing that the Social Network needs to have a better role at this moment.
