Network marketing taught me how to be optimistic. Interview with Chriszel Fajardo

Chris Fajardo is a network marketing leader from the Philippines, where she has a large structure. She is thinking about the development of structures in Europe, but first along with her company FrontRow, she is focusing on breaking records and so needed in these times charity.

HOW DID YOU FIRST GET INTRODUCED TO THE NETWORK MARKETING PROFESSION AND, HONESTLY, WHAT WAS THAT EXPERIENCE LIKE FOR YOU?

It was sunday and I have my off duty from my work as a virtual fashion consultant in a company based in New York, that is my job description but here in our country we are called “customer service representative” or call center agent. I was also an on call nurse back then. I was 20 years old and I am full of dreams, I was looking for another opportunity because personally, I think I wasn’t growing with my current job. While scrolling in a business page on Facebook I saw a post, it says “he was looking for a distributor for his food supplements”, then I inquired and set an appointment so I can listed to his presentation and when we met he presented the business, after that I was amaze by the networking scheme, but since I don’t have money for the starting package. I tried borrowing money from a lot of people but only one person lend me her money thanks to “Nanay Weng” that was the start of my network marketing career, and I will be grateful because of her for the rest of my life. The experience was an eye-opener for me, growing up with a family of professionals, none of us really tried business before, that might be the reason why we don’t have a progress in life (financially). It changed my perspectives in life and made me realized that life isn’t about getting a degree and having a 6-8 job.

HOW HAS BEING INVOLVED IN NETWORK MARKETING CHANGED YOUR LIFE, PROFESSIONALLY, PERSONALLY OR BOTH?

Network marketing taught me how to be optimistic in all aspects of life. It creates a lot of possibilities with no limits of how you can reach your dreams. Starting MLM at a young age was a challenge because I was able to handle different people on different ages and character. Though it is very tough at first, it somewhat improves my patience and I was able to prove that being young is not a hindrance to obtain success.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS THE MOST COURAGEOUS THING YOU HAVE DONE IN YOUR LIFE?

For me the most courageous thing I did in my life was Entering Network Marketing and walk away with my profession as a nurse and my dream to become a doctor. While my family was disappointed by the chosen field that I took, I was determined to pursue my MLM career, driven by courage and self determination I know I can prove to those who says “I can’t do it “ that “this is not true “ the opposite of what they always tell me. I was afraid at first but I know that no decision is wrong as long as you can stand through it.

CHRISZEL, PLEASE TELL OUR READERS ABOUT YOUR COMPANY AND YOUR PRODUCT.

I think that’s the reason why FrontRow and its distributors have been blessed all these years.

OKAY, NOW FOR THE STATS…HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN THE NETWORK MARKETING PROFESSION, HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH YOUR CURRENT COMPANY, HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE YOU PERSONALLY ENROLLED INTO YOUR COMPANY AND WHAT IS THE CURRENT SIZE OF YOUR ORGANIZATION?

I have been in Network Marketing for 7 years already, FrontRow is my first and definitely the only network marketing company that I would like to be involved with. I have started my network in Davao City, and marketed the whole mindanao, after which I went back to my hometown to start my network in Bicol, that’s my start of my Luzon and currently building in Visayas. I have also network in other countries. I don’t have the exact figures of my network but I’m one of the fastest to become an elite millionaire in my company but the credits goes to my hardworking leaders and business partners, they are also the reason why I have a big network in FrontRow.

CHRISZEL, I HOPE YOU DON’T MIND ME SAYING BUT YOU ARE QUITE YOUNG FOR A YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR AND MLM LEADER. HOW BEING YOUNG AFFECTS BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS AND BUILDING YOUR PERSONAL BRAND?

Well, I might be young by age but I am matured intellectually and emotionally I have been through a lot since I was growing up so during my start-up, I just act smart and I deal with every person depending on their status quo. Age isn’t an issue for me, you should always show to your business partner that you are professional in all aspects otherwise they will not follow you specially if you are a leader and you handle people older than you. Being young should not affect the business, all you need to do is be transparent in all the transactions that you make, be honest with what you say to your clients and business partner, for me trust is important in building a strong relationship with your business partners. Being responsible is the brand that I want to have personally because if you possess that, a lot of things can happen to you and your team in a positive way.

CHRISZEL, WHO IS AN INFLUENCER? HOW DO YOU BULD YOUR BUSINESS ON FACEBOOK AND SOCIAL MEDIA?

An influencer is someone who make a lead. Someone who change the game. Someone who breaks the stigma and stereotyping. I built my business in social media by merely telling true to life stories: personal success stories, personal experiences, life struggles, my lifestyle, future plans and travel. My story is an open book in Facebook and I never posted any rants and other negative things in my social media accounts, in that way people who see my posts get inspired and ask me how to become successful also, then they will be the one to inquire so that will be the start of our business deal.

TO ME, AS A EUROPEAN, IS IT VERY INTERESTING TO INTERVIEW A NETWORK MARKETING LEADER FROM THE PHILIPPINES. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR LOCAL MLM MARKET?

Filipinos, are enthusiastic but we are not mold to become business people, not all but most of us were raised to study and become professional that is why, networking is not really accepted in our country but I think as time passes by since a lot of Filipinos from different companies who started network marketing become successful, slowly Filipinos are embracing the network marketing society.

I WONDER HOW ARE YOU DOING IN THESE TROUBLED TIMES. HOW CORONAVIRUS HAS AFFECTED YOUR BUSINESS? OR THE WAY YOU DO YOUR BUSINESS?

Personally, I am living in a place where there is no cases reported yet, I am currently focus in e-commerce, coping up with building network through my leaders I set meetings and righ now we are working as a team ; we divide the tasks per team, though we are in a lockdown we still manage to sell our products online and ship it online, so basically everything is now online. We still have income since our payout is already directed to our bank accounts.

AND NOW A PURE HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION. IF IT WASN’T FOR MLM, WHAT WOULD YOU DO, WHO WOULD YOU BE AND WHERE?

I might be a nurse overseas or I became a doctor right now.

CHRISZEL, WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME? WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY?

I cook right now we have our own restaurant so I basically cook and I’m learning how to bake. I workout during my free time and dance I can also sing, so I do karaoke at home. I love to watch motivational videos and read inspiring stories when I am on the internet.

CHRISZEL, HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR BUSINESS FUTURE? OR YOUR FUTURE IN GENERAL IF YOU FEEL LIKE SHARING THIS.

As of the moment I got everything I dreamed of. For future plans I am sure I will have a team there in Europe, so I’d like to meet you personally. I can see myself travelling the world sharing my success story and inspiring a lot of people giving them hope that one day all their dreams will come true. Also, I have traditional business that came from my hard earned money through my network which I want to expand also my ultimate dream is to have my own charity, to help geriatric patients and support young students with their education. In God’s will, I know everything will happen.
